I never have a dull moment practicing my calligraphy.
One of the best things about my newest project/blog dailycalligraphy is that I get to share with readers quotes and pieces of writing that have inspired me, made me laugh, or piqued my mind in some way.
What’s even better, are the entries where I write stuff on my own. I’ve been writing new things, but I’m also posting some of the crazy haikus I wrote years ago on twitter.

One of my friends asked me when my birthday was. As I told her the date, I should have told her that I want one of these prints by House Industries!

This probably is reason I was never afraid of animals and why I love poodles so much. My parents had several animals when I was small, so I don’t remember there ever being a time where I was scared of dogs.
My uncle shot this of me (I think I was 3) playing with his beloved poodle, Ginger. Like Chloe (our family pet), Ginger went blind and lived to be around the same age as Chloe.

Here’s my calligraphy status. Though I think I’ve improved a lot since the first class, there’s still so much to learn and perfect. I have a page full of questions to ask the teacher.
I still have to learn k, v, w, x, y, z, numbers, capital letters, punctuation marks and symbols of this typeface!
