Goodbye?

I may be abandoning this tumblr, but the ones who know me best know where to reach me.

If you are one of those people who for some reason who doesn’t know, I’m here, here, and here.

Creating Instead of Reposting

If you are wondering why I haven’t posted anything here in awhile, it’s because I have been distracted by other things.

One of them is my calligraphy blog, www.dailycalligraphy.com which I started up a few months ago. It’s a collection of found quotes, phrases, and sometimes my own thoughts (and yes, this includes my infamous haikus). The goal of the site is to document my process as I learn the art of calligraphy.

I have to say, I enjoy posting stuff I’m working on much more than posting what I discover online. Though I still get a lot of my quotes from other resources, just actually sitting down and working on something is much more fun. I also like how I’m able to use a blogging service as a resource to keep me practicing, and to easily show my instructors, fellow classmates, and friends what I’m doing.

I remember really loving this song as a tiny girl. I also love all those dancing people at 2:18, 4:08, 4:15, 4:35, and 5:29 and the 80s VH1 branding.

I never have a dull moment practicing my calligraphy.

One of the best things about my newest project/blog dailycalligraphy is that I get to share with readers quotes and pieces of writing that have inspired me, made me laugh, or piqued my mind in some way.
What’s even better, are the entries where I write stuff on my own. I’ve been writing new things, but I’m also posting some of the crazy haikus I wrote years ago on twitter.

One of my friends asked me when my birthday was. As I told her the date, I should have told her that I want one of these prints by House Industries!
